My daughter adores this book. She reads it over and over again and loves the story of Grandma coming for a visit. Like some of the other reviewers I don't like that the story focuses a lot on gifts from Grandma to the little girl. When we read it we focus on how excited the girl is to see her Grandma and how much they enjoy spending time together. My daughter loves lifting the flags in the book and the flaps are fairly sturdy.

This was absolutely adorable! We have two other of these books where is babies bellybutton and where is babies pumpkin! They are all some of my daughters favorite books. The illustrations are great and the quality of the flaps is good. I got this because my mother was coming to visit and my daughter hasn’t seen her grandma in over year and it was a great way to prepare her for the visit. Then my mom enjoyed reading it to her when she got here! It was adorable to see the two of them together reading this book. Highly recommend for for two-year-olds!

What I like: It's nice to have a book all about Grandma. It has a lot of interesting things behind the flaps.What I don't like: It's mostly about gifts the Grandma gives the girl. I don't want my daughter to greet her Grandma with "What did you bring me?"

My 16 month old loves the Karen Katz books, and she is obsessed with the grandma and grandpa books! This one is cute, behind the flaps are Grandma, a teddy bear, cookies, flowers, a nightgown, and a kiss. My daughter knows what is behind each flap and calls out the item before opening the flap. Highly recommend!

My grandson loves these books. So colorful and easy to read.

My 3 year old granddaughter first introduced this book to me while I was at her house for a visit awaiting the birth of her new little sister. My first thought was, "well it's a board book so it'll be too simple for it to be good"... I read it the first night at bedtime, then the second night, then the third night and it continued on for the entire month I was there! LOL....sure we both knew it by heart very quickly and would read it out loud together, but that was half the fun. I'd do funny voices when I read it and sometimes changed a few of the words to kind of mix it up...But she enjoyed it so very much EVERY time. When I got back to the state where I live, I bought my own copy (just because I'm a kid at heart and I wanted to have something tangible of those beautiful reading memories with her.) I was further rewarded one day when she was having a hard time taking her afternoon nap. When my daughter called, I asked if I could talk to my little "Peanut"...I told her to go get her book and I would read it to her and she had to follow along and open all the little flaps. She did of course and she giggled the whole way through as if it were the first time she was hearing it. It was another priceless moment for this grandma...and she didn't have any trouble going down for her nap after that either. It's amazing what will capture a little ones attention. Sometimes we adults make things too complicated. As for me, I love to see things through the eyes of a child.

Even though my granddaughter calls me Nana this is one of our favorite books to read at night it was how very well written and we enjoy it .

My daughter is obsessed with this book. It’s about six pages, one sentence and one flap per page, but lots of fun to my soon to be 3 year old. Perfect book to read before nap or bed

Well, I put off buying this book for a long time. Mainly due to some 5-star comments that were placed so close together that it was obvious that they were added for the author to drive up his sales. I personally hate that. That being said, I bought it and thought it was very helpful for a budding motion designer to get familiar with the industry jargon and tips on techniques from the industry leaders. Word of caution, the book is definitely NOT a step by step guide to help you create the cool creations in this book (...thus only 4 stars). It's mostly opinions from industry folk along with client screen shots. And of course tips from the author on what he did in the thought process to create what he did.I was considering returning it but there are a lot of highlightable tips throughout. So, I will read it again to see what more I can gain from it.

If you know nothing about motion graphics, get this book. If you know something about motion graphics, get this book. If you think you know everything about motion graphics, get this book. It is not a technical guide and will not make you a master at Cinema 4D or After Effects, rather it is a book about motion-based design theory. It is packed full of industry advice and artistic philosophy from industry veterans and serves as an excellent reference to kick-start your conceptualization process. This book is not the be-all, end-all of books related to motion design; the descriptions are simply adequate and the majority of the text deals with artistic theory. However, it is a curation of some of the best work and ideas created working professionals; it is simply priceless.

Just finished reading this book. Bought it last year.Disappointing to see a scathing review on this one and I am going to try to break it down for newer buyers. Saying the book doesn't 'teach' or 'simply brings up topics' seems quite un-informed and clearly someone who hasn't faced a real client in the industry.What needs to be said first is that in any creative field - 90% is self learning. There will be no book out there which will give you a step by step guide or teach you how to do it. This is not a tutorial book or a step by step guide book. The internet is filled with those and another book isn't needed for the same. On the contrary, it delves into design principles, rules, techniques, conventions, etc. (so that you can learn to break them) It tells you do's and dont's. Imagine it as a printed mentor. The author has tried to put his years of experience into words.This is a great primer for anyone who wants to delve into motion design. It goes through real projects, real work - student+professional. It helps pique the readers' interest on this vast but fairly new subject. And the author has ideally divided it into sections to channel those interests and build something out of it/understand them better.Worth every dollar.

This book is really nice. It not only contains a lot of knowledges about design aspects for motion graphics but it also has interviews about all the professionals in this industry. The interviews are the most valuable part of this book. It’s easy to find a book which has some tutorials about programs like photoshop and illustration or talks about only design principles but it’s hard to find a book which has all collection about professionals’s view like this book. I love seeing how the directors in this book approach their design and develop a concept. Also, the style frames inside the book are amazing source of inspiration. I would highly recommend this book if you are interested in working in motion graphic field.

BAD KINDLE EDITIONAlthough the text inside this book is valuable and well written'''''''''', the publishing company obviously does not care about quality and ease of use - only money. ''There are only location points and no page numbers. It wastes HOURS of studying time spent in the school library referencing search terms (that might work - that is trial and error too) to replace the page numbers our teachers very reasonably put in the syllabus. It is a waste of the teachers' time to figure out freaking location points for an eBook that the publishing company should have put in before Kindle Release if they were even halfway competent. LWW isnt even competent enough to have a website with a working call button on their front page, and bad formatting elsewhere.I am left with the options of wasting valuable time, or falling behind in my required reading because this process is a pain the nuisance, or reading at the school library, which is free...but the text is inconsistently available.I don't plan on purchasing another LWW text. They can fix their problem while I *hope* my school library has a copy on hand every time I need it.

Most of my massage school books were full of fluff, with very little actual content. This book is jam packed with useful information, and it's only fault is that it might be too dense to read cover to cover. Think of it as more of a reference book, where you'll read a section about a topic that is of particular interest to you, or a few pages on a topic that you're covering in class. UCD is described as something similar to asking the users what they want, which is scandalously biased. It's true that UCD puts emphasis on users, but that in no way implies we can not articulate or facilitate brave new insights by understanding the users and their contexts. Thus DDI is actually NOT in any conflict with UCD. The author takes a very narrow view of UCD just to highlight how different DDI is, which a shame.Trivial Theory: The framework the author presents is vague and close to truism. Saying something like "to implement disruptive innovation you need to gain the right insights, find the right people, etc." is similar to saying "to innovate you need to be innovative", which doesn't really yield any more useful information. Although the characteristics of successful radical innovations in the past are summarized, that alone by no means affords a proven theory - it's just a déjà vu case of correlation vs. causation. Just because many radical innovators have something in common doesn't justify that you can follow the same rule and succeed.The book has a promising point that I can totally agree with, but the author simply fails to deliver anything convincing to make that point.

Verganti provides this fantastic bridge between theory and practice to illustrate how radical new ideas can transform the market by proposing new categories rather than catering to existing ones. The hard lesson for business is this: real innovation is propositional and risky, not researched and proven. Twenty years after Branzi's 'Learning from Milan' we get the business version....

This is a great addition to innovation literature. The author provides numerous examples and case studies to drive home the importance of innovative design practices in today's companies. However, after a while the book becomes a little repetitive. Almost all the examples seem to be of Italian companies. It would have been really nice to read about innovation practices and success stories from a more geographically diverse set of companies. Also, if the author condensed some of the repetitive narrative and focused on the core ideas, the book could be shorter and more useful.But overall, a good read.

While we are seeing a rise in books which acknowledge the role that design plays in innovation, Verganti's book is a reminder that well-structured, entrenched design-driven innovation processes have been in place for many years. Verganti uses a number of examples from northern Italy to illustrate his well-considered and usefully described method for discovering 'meaning' in products and services.The difference between this and any other book on design and innovation (that I've come across in the past 15 years) is that Verganti provides a practical, easy to understand method which can be applied and tested in other environments. So unlike many books which continue to mystify the 'design process', Verganti proposes that the structure that is built around identifying and developing the problem is central to achieving innovative outcomes.Where the method seems to fall short is in the way in which it engages audiences. The creation of meaning is, for the most part, undertaken, reviewed and assessed by interpreters. These interpreters are those engaged in a design discourse. The method doesn't extend to engaging audiences through social networking,something which is on the rise in the design sector.The strength of Verganti's method is that it calls for identifying interpreters and engaging in a discourse around design. If this method, (which seems to be the key to success in Italian innovation)encourages designers to become more active in their engagement with discourse, then it will have done what few design and innovation books could do.

Although occasionally repetitive, this book is an eye opener. There is a sub-text in the market that companies fail to read...what clients literally ask for is often a symptom but not what they really need. This book attempts to explain how companies can develop resources and talent networks to better interpret the full context of client demand. It shows that when companies focus exclusively on linear processes it's almost impossible to create a sustainable competitive advantage since these are easily observable and replicated by a competitor. True innovation anticipates market demand, and it comes from developing both internal and external teams that allow senior executives (who must be fully engaged) to see and act on emerging trends before others. The author's key point is that this creates a company culture that drives sustainable growth and success that is always one step ahead.

I've read a few Harmony Raines books previously and I got this series was just too good to pass up. There is a sexual content but nothing lurid. These are not "clean" romances but they are not offensive.The stories are a continuous collection about Bear Creek, that feature characters who either know each other or become friends during one story and that carries over to the next story. The men are all bear shifters, most of them are older and believe they may never find their mate or think their mate is already married or even dead. The characters are likable and interact well with each other. The women have all been disappointed in love with a human and divorced or in one case a shifter lied to her about being her mate.The only negative comments I have are related to the character of the shifters; when they shift, their clothes shift with them so the shift is instantaneous; even if they are swimming as a shifter and are wet when they climb out of the water, they are dry when they shift back. That was a little unbelievable. There is very little world building. Also, some people know about shifters and others don't. That makes everything kind of surreal. But if you suspend disbelief (since this is a PNR, you've probably already done that). This is a very enjoyable read, I even ordered some more of her other collections. They are all quick reads of no more that 100+ pages.

relationships, shifters, romantic, family, family-dynamics, invested-eroticaI love these books! Each has a real plot including relationship issues, personal feelings, and other aspects of life regardless of whether shifter or what passes for normal human. These books make the reader feel part of the community and all are feelgood tales with happy ending. They are also short enough for a quick pick you up. If you don't care to read erotica, just skip that page but don't miss the story!

These are a fun collection of short related stories. There is not much character building as the insta\mate love definitely shortens the romance part of the story, however the stories are a variety of situations that keep your attention.

The Silverbacks and Second Chances Complete Box set was an enjoyable collection of stories. The plots were similar but had interesting solutions to allow a HEP ending. It was fun to have the complete series in one file which allowed me to read all six books as time permitted.

I enjoy Harmony Raines writting so much that even when I have read a book if it comes out in a box set I just have to get it to read again.

A good few interconnected stories here, with nods to a wider built world from other books, without being forced to read those first.

This series is definitely a must read for everyone over the age of 18. If you love second chances and believe in true love, this series is for you. Once you start to read, you won't be able to put it down until the very end.

Must be 18 to read! Great characters and plots. Steamy scenes and lots of love of friends and family. There are several typos in each book which can make you stop and wonder and reread the passage to make sense, but otherwise I recommend!

I used this book to change my eating habits and also my social media habits. The sets of questions are so good about pointing us back to truth. After each set of questions, there's scriptures to read. At some point I began to use the scriptures as a basis for writing out scripture prayers in my journal: the Lord really met me in that! What's the evidence that God has used this book to help renew my mind? Well, I've lost weight and I'm finding victory in the area of social media. Oh, and I've demolished the skinny idol. I have more peace. I don't feel compelled to eat at certain times anymore that were habitual times of eating. I get excited about having my quiet time with the Lord. I'm so thankful that Barb was obedient to God's call for her to write this book. If you are struggling with a habit or want to create new habits, this book is a power-house resource for that. It all starts with going to God for help! It's in His strength! It's going back to what HE says is possible--and all things are possible through Him!

Someone has done the work of finding the right Bible verses to help inspire and motivate you. This is not Fluff, it is about being Honest with your self. I think anyone could read even her questions about being honest with yourself and gain so much personal insight!Do not get this if you don't want to truly change the way you see yourself.Questions and areas to address: Breaking Habits, Making Habits; worries, over-eating, and much more.Although I like the ebook it is a little more difficult to go to the different areas of the book that are helpful. (I have to be better about bookmarking) It is clearly laid out in the kindle format to move to the areas she is mentioning. I can see writing and highlighting in a "real book".

I might have to add to review later but for now, I have been SO pleased with this book :) I haven't had the best of luck getting books off here. Somehow like more than half have disappointed and I guess I am the type that is better looking into it in a store-in person and deciding that way before purchase. That said, this book has been exactly as it seems (to me) exactly as advertised :) This is a crucial step for Christian's; not a popular one these days, but still equally important as to the Saints of old. We need God's transformation in our lives and this only takes place through daily yielding our hearts and minds to his will. This book is like a boost in that direction :) The author shares personal testimony and to be honest, I think that the best Christian experts on anything are the ones' who speak from personal experience. The person of the Trinity is a personal God and so I want to read from others who also "know him" as I do. I don't want to hear a bunch of fancy terminology and seminary theology gibberish to lift up the author...This is exactly the opposite-it lifts up God (not the author :) I would rather read one book by a real Christian than 20 "life changing" books by some narcissistic Charlatan (I won't meniton names, but if they have "special revelation" for you and a "word from God", yea ;) if they have "promises" for you and you just need to " follow their formulas" to get into these promises fulfilled...Charatan ;)
