My daughter is obsessed with Fancy Nancy, and was thrilled to find this in her Easter Basket. I have to admit, I'm pretty fond of Nancy too. The stories are entertaining, and great for building vocabulary.

My four year old LOVES Fancy Nancy. Last year for Easter we bought her this book and I feel like we may have read it a million times already. :) I like the storylines in the Fancy Nancy books - she's a good character for little kids.

Seeing this, the Easter Bunny could hardly resist popping a copy of this into my daughter Nancy's Easter basket. She really enjoyed this one. The story is a bit thin but it is the first Fancy Nancy lift-the-flap book as far as I know and that added a bit of fun. Certainly it's worth it around the holiday.

My almost 4 year old daughter adores Fancy Nancy. I bought her this book for Easter. It has flaps inside that you lift to reveal fanciness underneath. My daughter loves it. The story isn't very developed. It is just Fancy Nancy setting up for their Elegant Easter party. No real conclusion- they never actually have the party. My daughter didn't seem to notice. She was too busy seeing what fancy things she could find under the little flaps. On story alone, it would get 2 stars. It being Fancy Nancy and my daughter adoring it bumps the star rating up a bit.

This is a really cute Fancy Nancy book. My granddaughter is going to be three and loves Fancy Nancy. Nancy uses big words and these books are a great way to increase a little ones vocabulary. The Easter book is especially fun because there are flaps to look under on each set of pages. She loved it and so did everyone else at our Easter celebration.

We are big fans of the Fancy Nancy collection. I really enjoy reading them as much as my daughter enjoys listening. I put this one in my daughters Easter basket this year and we read it that night. Happy kid and happy mom.

My daughter (who is a first-grader) enjoyed this Fancy Nancy lift-the-flap Easter book. In fact, she said it was great! Nancy and her friend Bree are in charge of decorating for an Easter party and naturally, they must make it fabulous! Such a cute book for children! As a curly-haired girl with an affinity for dresses and accessories, my daughter identifies with the main character, Nancy Clancy. For this reason, she treasures each book in this series.

I bought this for my six year old granddaughter who loves Fancy Nancy. She really enjoys reading it to herself and to us. But this book would be good for an age group younger (they'll enjoy you reading to them) or older than 6.

Françoise Mouly joined The New Yorker as art editor in April 1993. She is the publisher and Editorial Director of TOON Books, an imprint of Candlewick Press. Just fabulous! Here is a box of postcards of New Yorker covers from the 1920s through 2011. I was really looking forward to them but had some qualms that they might be chosen for their "political correctness" and am happy to say that they were not! In fact, for the most part, these covers appear to have been chosen for their humor, nostalgia, clean lines, story-telling, great colors and somewhat seasonal factors. Not all of my favorites are here, but then I probably have a good deal more than 100 favorites.I have been a subscriber to The New Yorker for many years and the editors deserve heartfelt applause for daring to stay with the artistic covers and for not falling into the trap of alternating movie stars like Vanity Fair and every single other magazine has done to the immense boredom of readers and subscribers. I actually love my weekly New Yorker more for the covers than for the sameness and predictability of the stories and articles. I sincerely hope that by saying this I haven't jinxed these great artists, and Francoise Mouly, the Art Editor of the magazine, is to be congratuated!

These postcards are amazing. Well worth the price. Some of them were so funny that I couldn't bring myself to mail them to anyone...I want to keep and frame 'em. I had never really paid attention to the New Yorker magazine covers before and am so glad that I ordered this product. A great price for 100 postcards is what got my attention, and I'm glad it did.

Some cards were great while others were so-so.These cards are thick, and I mean THICK, they're like cardboard. Per USPS rules, postcards thicker than 16pt cannot be sent without an envelope or have to have a letter rate postage instead of postcard postage. These cards are probably 20pc or thicker.

They are nice thick cards but the collection is limited to more of the oddball covers. I have seen so many nice covers from the New Yorker but was a bit disappointed with the selection offered here. It seems like this is only a collection of a certain kind of artistic style. It is represented as "100 covers from ten decades" but they just are not what I expected.

Bought this book to use the postcards as the guestbook at my wedding. My fiance and I live in New York, but we are from the South. I am trying to find creative ways to share our NYC life with guests, and this is the perfect way! I bought several other New York postcard books because we are having 350 guests and this was by far the best value as I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars to track down cool and unique postcards for so many people. Definitely a great purchase and very happy about the price.

I really like them all. I start to send postcards to my friends all over the world. It is nice that you can choose the date for their birthdays. It is very nostalgic and cute.

I bought this package for Postcrossing, but you will probably need a pretty specific request or direct swap in order to use these cards. The art styles can seem repetitive in the same years, which makes sense, but there isn't much variety for sending out as random swaps. There are lots of cards of great quality, though, if you can find a use for them all.

Each card is unique. I love them. Very nice card stock with a dividing linr on back between address and message area. A lot of the other sets of 100 cards have duplicates--usually 2 of each of 50 cards. All 100 of these are different. I'm pleasantly pleased and surprised.

first of all, the Aztecs were known as the Mexica.this book does not focus on their biggest achivements. The Mexica were well educated, clean, strong people. The Mexica were not savages at all. anyone who says so is ignorant to the true side of the Mexica that the europeans tried to cover up. I am of Aztec decent so do not call my people savages.

Townsend's _The Aztecs_ provides a great introduction to one of the great Mesoamerican civilizations. Opening with the Spanish arrival and eventual conquest of the Aztec empire, he then goes back to explore how the Aztecs - who were at the zenith of their power when Cortez arrived in 1519 - became such a powerful state, and how this led to their eventual demise. The complaints I have are rather nit-picky: I struggled with the Aztec names (of places, of titles, of dieties, of rulers); I also wish he had gone into more detail about social heirarchy and especially gender relations.To be fair, the book is meant to be an introduction - and as such, it exceeds expectations. While Townsend leans a bit heavily on political history, he devotes time to urban culture of the Aztecs - the importance of Tenochtitlan as a religious as well as commercial center; and entire chapters discuss Aztec artisans and farmers, another family and education, and a fascinating chapter on Aztec religion. Still, much of the book centers on the founding, growth and expansion of the Aztec empire and the role (both culturally, politically and religiously) that warfare played in this. In fact, Townsend makes a very convincing case that "The Aztecs had mastered the arts of war but not those of government" which eventually led to its destruction at the hands of the Spaniards.Matters of historical controversey are readily admitted (always appreciated, and too often not s forthrightly addressed in historical ntroductions), and splendidly cited using primary sources from both Aztec and Spaniard. For those seeking a great starting place in understanding Mesoamerican civilization, this is the book I would recommend.

This book deserves no stars but I had to put one so that my review could go through.just by looking at the authors name and reading some of the reviews, I realized it's just another bored american author who tries to write about a culture that is nothing similar to american culture so they confuse the both. So everybody who reads this book thinks that the aztecs were so religious and superficial, who sacrificed people so that the sun god will rise. As a mexican myself it's just all wrong. A misunderstanding by the spaniards who masacred these ppl just for their land and gold. The best books written by aztec are written by only a few mexican researchers and archeologists. But then again americans believe this garbage, consider the aztecs primitive when the aztecs were as great or greater than the romans, greeks, and egyptians. I wonder how these blood thirsty, sacrificing savages were able to build such a sophisticated and detailed calender which they depended their everyday life on and those pyramids as big as egypts. wow what a bunch of dumb savages huh? 95% , 85 million of these ppl were masacred in cold blood by the savage, chatholic spaniards in the name of god, only for land and gold which gave and give europeans their wealth till this day. So screw this book and many other books who misterpret and fasely make up facts about the aztecs.

Lots of nice pictures of Aztec art but the writing is boring and there is not enuf archaeology. Try Smith's The Aztecs instead.

I wondered as i was reading this book how it was that the Aztecs who had historically recorded populations of 100,000 plus,never had a terrible ecological disaster as the Mayan civilization supposedly did.Surely with Aztecan confederacy type populations there must have been a high use/misuse of resources. Could it be that the Aztecs had thought out a way to avoid such disasters as faced the Mayan civilations.Probably? One way was the setting aside of large areas of timber and etc. and designating them as sacred so people could not inhabit them without offending the Gods. This seems like an early form of todays National Parks,the Aztecs therefore early consevationists.These are some of the type interpretations a person could gather from reading Townsends' book.Tenochtitlan while no doubt an architectural splendour,would not have downgraded to any degree the vast Aztecan style ceremonial centers in the outlying and mountainous regions of the Mexican valley.You get the feeling from this book of the Aztecs as an industrious,religious,artistic type people. No doubt however that Aztecan society was highly stratified and warfare, tied to their religion,a major force in the expansion of their empire.The Aztecan empire was still in existence when the Spanish arrived so there is some written records available.I found the descriptions and numerous pictures of the "skull racks" along with the authors familiarity with Aztec warfare and human sacrifice,morbidly fascinating.Ther are lots of pictures and maps.Another excellent Thames and Hudson book.I was wondering after reading the book and noting the similarities between these Mesoamerican Sun Kingdoms. Maybe when the Mayan civilization collapsed,the remnants moved to the Mexican valley and tried to improve on the lessons from the Yucatan Peninsula.

Stephan's book is a very good guide to the trading style Tom Sosnoff and Tony Battista have developed and built their company around. tastytrade,com is a wealth of information that is constantly being updated with current research. The only downside is, it takes hours/days/months to absorb all the video. Stephan's book goes a long way towards filling that gap with a well organized and complete book.Stephan has done the best job yet of presenting the tastytrade trading style and mechanics in a clear, concise way. His book breaks down all the trades like a reference manual. I keep it open all day as I trade. The yellow quick reference notes at the end of each section are great.His second book does a good job of explaining the mitigation mechanics to use when a trade goes bad. I would have liked more on portfolio management and maintaining a delta neutral portfolio and why it is important.Stephan has been very supportive of our trading group here in Minneapolis. His blog allows a new trader to follow along as he trades and to be confident he is the real deal and not some guy trying to sell books. I hope Stephan continues writing. He has a clear, easy to read style. He is making a great contribution to the growing tastytrade community.Thank you Stephan for a very good book!

This book is a good notebook for the Tasty Trade Mechanical approach to trading. It will save you time, rather then making a notebook of the overall strategy.My only comments are; the Graphics/Pictures in the kindle book, read on an ipad are not that clear. It would be great of the publisher was able to upload crisper pictures. Also, it would be nice to be able to access from from amazon's cloud reader; since alot of trading is done from the desktop.Overall, i recommend this book for a stater, and reference for traders that have spent time reviewing the tastytrade videos. Which or course, are available for free online.

Looking back in time a few years ago a friend of mine told me if I want to learn how to trade efficiently the stock market should watch the Tasty Trade Channel on YouTube and learn from them. After following his advice, I found myself super overwhelmed cause on top of not getting to understand well the mechanics of trading options, cause is very difficult at first. I guess because I wasn’t so serious about it, I quit trying and focused more on day trading stocks and futures. Now after the time had pass and see the advantages of trading options vs day trading, I decide to learned how to trade options again and I feel very fortunate today to the author of this book Stephan Haller took the time and effort to create this book. To anybody who is interested in learn how to trade options the tasty trade way in a short and easy way to understand this is the perfect book for you.

Stephan Haller has done a great job boiling down tastytrade education into just 1 book.I have been following tastytrade for a year and after reading this book, my confidence and ability to turn profits has gone up exponentially. The book does it for you in terms of organizing and simplifying the tastytrade knowledge.And YES! if you can order pizza, you can trade. Thanks Mr. Haller for such a powerful book.All you buyers out there- Do not think twice. With what this book can give you is going to last a lifetime!

The book describes all possible different Option strategies with examples and diagrams. There is also a checklist for each strategies. How to defend a trade if underlying trade price moves unfavorably, how to take profit are described well.

I have been following and learning the Tastytrade style of investing for over a year. This book is a good review of how to trade like the Tastytraders. It explains options and different types of trades. I found it helpful that I knew some of this beforehand when reading the book. The book clarified ideas that I had seen before but did not quite understand.
