About the Author

DONALD B. JENKINS was born and raised in Northern Virginia. As a boy, he developed an interest in the Civil War and later joined a county historical society. He holds a B.A. degree from UVa and a M.A. from George Mason University. He served thirty-two years in various public service positions with the Commonwealth of Virginia. Concurrently, as a hobby, he began collecting, researching and occasionally selling Civil War items, nineteenth-century American pottery and antique country furniture. In 2008, he retired from public service and began writing his book. Donald resides in Falls Church, Virginia, with his wife.

great book

I can say I am a big fan of Dr Robert Lanza work having read his classic stem cell text and now this equally well written text on Stem Cell Engineering. His written style is very communicative, clear and uncongestive. He explains technology, how its is performed and why it works so well that i think its even more salient then Bergs or Leningers-Biochemistry text book or Alberts Molecular Biology of the Cell. He uses a lot of color in the diagrams and the figures are easily understood by this urologist. This is a great textbook and it now rests on my office shelf right next to his Essentials of Stem Cells. I will be soon starting a big project on Molecular Biology so these two books will be my start in this field. I know I am well served with both of them. Both texts are very complimentary.

The book has arrived before schedule, it is also in very good conditions. I am very happy with the purchase.
