Sent it back. The pages were badly printed with music cut off some of them in the margins.

Absolute nightmare to download all of the songs. Someone at Hal Leonard was not thinking when they designed the download feature to be song by song with no "download all" option. Very time consuming.

Several of the songs were poorly printed into the score (ie: no where close to straight). I would imagine this means that there is a quality control issue at Hal Leonard, Co. However, as a performer and music instructor, this series are the most competitive in the business at getting the job done.

Product as described - no problems with the transaction - would purchase again. My son's voice teacher often requests books in this line and finds lots of great things for my son to sing.

Because it fit the requirements for WSMA Musical Theater selections and also had accompaniment CDs for students to practice with.

This book is essential for the serious baritone/bass singer who wants music right at his finger tips. My husband is in musical theater and vocal performance and he carries this on his person pretty much at all times.

This looked exactly like a wall calendar we had purchased (and LOVED) the previous year. We had loved the large squares and the random holidays as a format for writing our family schedule. I should have looked more closely, because THIS calendar was NOT the wall calendar version, but a page-a-day tear-off version that sits on your desk. Not what we were looking for.

It is a desktop calendar, but I had hoped it was more about celebrating food, instead it’s just really silly stuff.

I got 2 of these to give as a Christmas gift. My kids LOVE finding out what holiday it is today. It also makes for great discussion and/or simple activities you can do for that days holiday.

This calendar is really blah. Today is international womens day and this calendar says "proofreading day". I think yesterday was Pig day. Earmuffs day, car keys day. More or less any random object you can think of seems to have a day.

Love this calendar!!! It makes each day a little bit more fun celebrating all those funny holidays!

So far, I'm really enjoying this calendar. It's fun and gives you a reason to celebrate something everyday. It arrived in good condition as well.

Not sure if the days it states are correct. I’ve googled some of them and they don’t match what the calendar says.

I am generally not a fan of oral histories, but Greg Prato does a great job structuring this book to make it very readable and remarkably fascinating. I decided to read this after becoming obsessed with the "Soup" album for nearly a month, listening to it in its entirety everyday, sometimes more than once. This book really makes you feel as though you are a fly on the wall for the formation of the band, recording sessions, live shows and everything in between and even as Shannon's path is a given part of you still hopes the end will be different and it is the hope and passion with which Prato shows for his subjects and his understanding of the hopefulness of their recordings that give you a sense of hope where there is none. This is a wonderful, tragic story of a real band coming together with all their brilliant flaws on display and making some of the most powerful music of the 90s that was ultimately lost due to Hoon's untimely demise.

This book was an excellent read from front to back. I'd highly recommend it to anyone, whether you're a Blind Melon fan or not. Greg Prato did an incredible job of putting together all of the interviews from the band, friends, family and others involved in the life of Blind Melon. I was so happy to learn many things about the group and Shannon Hoon in particular. There were a lot of stories about the songs from the albums and how/ why they were written. St. Andrews Fall is my favorite song of theirs and learning about what the lyrics meant just gives that song so much more power now when I listen to it. Very grateful to have found this book and this author!

I could not stop reading this book once I started. I must admit at first I was a bit disappointed with the format, but as I started to devour the book, I became so enthralled with the first hand accounts that I now can't imagine the story being told any other way. This book is a wealth of information for any Melon/ Hoon fan. Everything was relevent and so well presented. I especially loved reading how the songs were written. I cherish the memories shared from Shannon's childhood friends, his awesome mom, his devoted girlfriend, the members of the band, and their lovely wives. I bought it on Kindle and I was very disappointed that there were no pictures. Other than that, I consider this book a masterpiece that I refer to often.

Intense reading with very specific ideals based on Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon. Not for everyone but great for those who are interested in the cycle of battling addiction and it complexities. God Bless.

The font is too small!! I could barely read it. It’s too light and too small. I wear glasses and contacts and even with both, I could barely read it. So I put it down and haven’t picked it back up. If they reprint it with better font size, maybe I’ll buy it again.

It is truly one of the most amazing books I have ever read. From the very beginning, I was quickly pulled in and felt as though I were there with all of them. Greg Prato is an amazing writer and I highly recommend this book. I truly did not want to put the book down and was sad it ended because I enjoyed is so much! I just wanted it to keep going! To be perfectly honest, it is a book that you could read several times over :) I would give it a 10 rating if I could. Thank you and whoever reads this, please read this book!!

Blind Melon, even 15 years after the death of their original singer Shannon Hoon, are absolutely still, one of my favorite bands of all time. Unfortunately with being a fan and not a close friend, I only knew them through their music and what I saw on tv, in magazines, etc. which was very limited and repetitive at best.That is until now. Greg Prato has poured his heart and soul into creating a piece of well documented rock and roll history for which myself and thousands of fans around the world are eternally grateful.On a closing personal note, after reading this book I will never listen to Blind Melon's Sophomore effort, "Soup" again without understanding or feeling all the love, pain, beauty and tragedy that marked this special time in music and I have Greg to thank for this.

It is a really down to earth story. With statements from a lot of people who were close to Shannon. It is a fun read

Good:The guide has multiple things going for it. Its very well organized for starters. It has sections for 7/14 day itinerary, must sees and day trips. I don't have kids but the book is very much oriented to a planner planning activities for kids.Could improve:Every destination needs to have an address. I use a smart phone and I need an address for my GPS. Some of the addresses listed in the book are old school road directions. They are my handicap.Don't really need the map bundled in the book. I would be surprised if anyone really uses themSome of the suggestions are dated. There are newer better places that people could visit. But the places listed in the book are still the must seeThis book needs to catch up to the world of Yelp, Groupon etc. It needs to mention that one can find a groupon for a tourist place etc. Maybe all old school pocket guides need to do it.

This guide really helped us plan a week of exploration, beach time, and food in Oahu.We found several good suggestions that allowed us to be off the main beaten path and make the most of our vacation.The only two small drawbacks are that at times it's hard to find what you are looking for (there are several cross references in the book),and the map in the back is not detailed enough to navigate the roads.I would definitively recommend it.

We had never been to Hawaii so this book provided a great overview. We referenced it a lot while there and it is small enough to carry along with lots of great information. I love that it is broken up into the day to day format so you can prioritize your sightseeing depending on how long you have to stay on the island. Frommer's has done a great job once again.

I bought this book previous to my trip to hawaii. I've used these books in the past and they are great. The gives you everything you need to know from the must popular spots to see to the unknown areas. It even tells you when certain attractions are closed, what their hours of operation are, or even the cost to get in. this is a very useful tool!

I recently spent a week on the island of Oahu with this book as my guide. I didn't encounter any wrong information and I really liked the map that came along with it. My only complaint is I wish it had named and reviewed a few more restaurants.

A very good basic guide book to Oahu. Gives many different options in exploring the island. It does repeat a lot of the information and if all the repeated info was taken out of the book would be about half of it's original size. It also lacks bus routes infor in getting to the sites, which would be beneficial.

I have three little boys who play Little League. The oldest (who is 10) started playing two years ago. I love baseball but my playing experience is limited.Around the time my oldest took interest in the game I started taking him to the local training facility for lessons. I noticed recently that the facility owner changed up the way he was teaching his Hitting Camps. He mentioned that he is now following the information in this book and suggested I read it.Well, after reading the book (and getting on the same page as the coach) it all makes sense. I can see a pretty big difference in power coming from my boys since following the training in this book. Easy read and the examples are great!

This is a great book with sound principles. I appreciate that Joey tests his theories, and still allows room for change and improvement. My assumption on the negative reviews is that they are likely from people who are not interested in new information and techniques. There are no lack of old school experts in baseball. One does not need to be a former professional with years of experience to become educated on any subject. I recognized bad parenting before I had children, and my children are almost adults and I am still no expert.

I don't disagree with the concept of the book but I think it could have been better written. The first half of the book is dedicated to explaining to you Joey's credentials and why you should believe him. The "meat" of the book has good ideas but is written almost like a series of tweets. The author frequently uses short one sentence paragraphs and liberal use of the bold font. It also directs you to URLs that you will have to type in on your computer. It's a tough read. Looking back, I probably should have looked for an EBook version of this or just found his Youtube site rather than trying to read it on dead tree.

Really like the scientific, principled approach to getting the most power out of your swing game. Clear, step-by-step, useful instruction, examples, illustrations and training videos. Very to the point without a lot of editorializing about self. I learn by applying, re-reading, adjusting my model until I'm comfortable with the integrity of applying what I've learned.There was nothing I did not like about this book...it's a keeper! Great information for coaches and players, alike...even old active players like myself.

If you want to learn about hitting this is the book to get! I have used the principals in this book and it helped with my son's hitting. He's a contact hitter and batted 0.560 last summer following the methods in this book. If you are serious about helping and improving your player, or players, in baseball or softball with their hitting than get this book!

Awesome book detailing the hitting mechanics elite MLB players use-past & present. I tried Joey Myer's hitting methods for the first time off of a tee, and literally hit the ball better and barreled it better than I ever had in my entire life. Joey teaches a hitting philosophy that is safe for the body, but also biomechanically perfect. I wish I knew these techniques when I was younger, I would have been the best hitter on my high school team.

Some good info to make a power hitter. I coach 14u softball this year and we applied most of the stuff in the book and saw a 10 mph increase in batted ball speed on average for each of my 12 girls.

I've followed Joey Meyers for a few years now and he's right there with the few top hitting coaches in the nation. This book appears to be a quick read, but it's filled with great information and goes into great depth to fully explore various theories.I highly recommend this book.
